USDA REAP Grant: Introduction and Benefits

Since its inception in 2008 as part of the Farm Bill, the United States Department of Agriculture’s Rural Energy for America Program (REAP) has played a pivotal role in fostering sustainable practices and economic development in rural communities across the country.  This program provides financial assistance to for-profit agricultural producers and rural small businesses for the installation of renewable energy systems and energy efficiency improvements.
