Bisun Consulting was started to help eligible agricultural producers and rural small businesses apply for USDA REAP grant funding, and to provide organizations of all types, an unbiased partner in solar energy consulting. As both bison rancher and solar professional, the name Bisun Consulting was selected to reflect the strength and resilience of not only the sun, but our National Mammal, the bison, or as it’s more commonly called, the buffalo. Join us as we collectively roam towards a cleaner energy future.
Before launching Bisun Consulting, Jarrod spent over 8 years in various roles within the solar industry, including solar consultant, grant writer, Director of Sales and Marketing, and Solar Business Development Manager. In these roles, (the latter with the oldest and now largest solar installer in the region), he led sales and marketing teams, and personally developed over 10MW of commercial projects for small to large businesses as well as non-profits and units of government.
Jarrod is a proud veteran of the United States Air Force (active duty) and attended The Ohio State University. He has over 20 years in sales leadership and business development. He has held an ETA Photovoltaic Installer L-1 certification and holds a current NABCEP PV Associate credential.
Outside of work, Jarrod continues to advocate for bison, serving on the board of directors for a North American bison organization dedicated to education and outreach.
